You are invited to BCI’s next virtual speaker series on guardianship and public benefits. The event will be held on Monday, November 13 at 6:30 p.m.
During the webinar, Developmental Disabilities Resource Board Case Manager II and Mentor Judy Naeger will discuss guardianship options and how they can affect the lives of young adults and parents alike. Then BCI Benefits Case Manager Sandy Weitkamp will review public benefits programs that most often come into play during the transition from high school into adult life. Finally, BCI board member Doug Tracy and other parents will share their own transition stories.
The presentation is free. However, advance registration is required at https://BCINov2023speakerseries.eventbrite.com.
“Guardianship and benefits were the two highest-ranking topics in the post-event survey following our transition conference in September,” said BCI Chief Program Officer Katie Jones. “Our goal is to more deeply address these topics for our attendees but also for any family whose loved one is nearing graduation.”
